Since its launch in 2013 by Ateliers d'Art de France, the Revelations biennial is committed to offering a stage for professionals in the fine crafts industry to exhibit their workmanship, creativity and imagination.
Now, the show's first edition outside of France has arrived in Beijing at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center from Sept 19-23, introducing the efforts of those artists and workshops in the sector in promoting craft skills, defending creation and redefining aesthetics.

Professionals from 16 countries and regions have gathered in China's capital to exhibit diversity in craftsmanship and a visual blending of cultures and openness by bringing together manual work, modern design and cultural heritage inheritance. It is vividly presented through various materials from the traditional—bamboo, porcelain, metal and lacquer—to products of modern industries.
The expo is part of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism and celebrates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations.

France is the guest nation at Revelations China, and the French embassy in China brings the works of three French artists to show their dedication to the heritage of handicrafts.
Juliette Clovis explores the endless cycle of life, working with porcelain to create sculptures. Ludivine Loursel's work shows the timeless artistry of glass and metal. Diana Collongues inherited a passion for handwork from her two grandmothers and her tapestries conjure a feeling of emotional support.
